For various personal reasons, I have not had the inspiration to post in the last week, but I will try to change that starting now.
Meanwhile, Charles Kuffner points out another San Antonio blogger that I hadn't been aware of: The Jeffersonian, written by a fellow calling himself Cincinnatus. In particular, he has a long, detailed post on the stealth San Antonio mayoral race that takes place in less than two months. He also has a link to my own blog in his blogroll. I'll have to add him to my own right away.

"We are making every effort to reach all eligible homeowners and ensure that they can move through the system as quickly as possible," said Michael Taylor, director of the Disaster Recovery Unit, Office of Community Development. "It’s vitally important that Louisiana homeowners who are living in South West Texas call the program to file their applications and make an appointment at the San Antonio center."
Louisiana residents currently residing in San Antonio or the Southwest Texas area who have applied to the program, but have not yet scheduled their appointments may do so by calling 1.888.ROAD.2.LA and choosing prompt #4. Homeowners who have made appointments at a Louisiana center have the option to reschedule those appointments at the San Antonio location by also calling that number.

Regarding the AT&T and Pearl Jam censorship incident, while AT&T is definitely no friend - and could convincingly be argued to be an outright enemy - of the American consumer, American citizenry, its own customers and serving American military personnel, neither is Pearl Jam qualified to say squat about politics or the presidency. One is utterly devoid of common decency in free enterprise, the other utterly devoid of common sense in free speech. What a particularly rotten combination.
