It does not matter if the Repubicans filibuster. The point is to get them on the record with regards to Iraq and the current Bush policy, especially the 20 Republican senators who are up for election in 08. A vote to uphold a filibuster is essentially a vote to support the war.

I agree that a vote to filibuster is a vote to support the war. I disagree that the point is merely to get the GOP on record, though. In my view, the point is to get Bush to change his disastrous policies. Unfortunately, the GOP has just proved they have no interest in helping out.
