Maybe someone ought to devise a check-list of requirements and tests for the ;discovery; of an earth-like planet, and then work with the rest of the scientific community to refine it. With more stringent criteria, there would be less false alarms, and it also seems likely that the scientists would benefit from the exercise.

Are you suggesting that my "astrotwin" does not live on this planet? I had been certain that this was this case as soon as I heard of the Earth-like world.
