From my Facebook archives, May 16, 2015:
The Bride Came C.O.D. is a 1941 Warner Bros. film that stars James Cagney and Bette Davis. So naturally it is a screwball comedy. Ok, maybe not naturally. But that's what it is.
I read that "more recent fans" consider this film one of the low points of each of their careers. But it's actually a fun film. Not an all-time-great, but definitely enjoyable. It's fun seeing these two in unusual type of roles. Both are very good at it even though it's not their normal specialty.
Jack Carson is in it as well, which always helps.
